A visit to the Big Island’s Waipi’o Valley involved a hike down a steep road from a scenic overlook to the valley floor. It may be possible to hike down and back up in an hour for the very fit but for anyone else, take your time. I took half a day to do it but then, I was stopping frequently to take photos of course.
