A bicycle ride through some small rural villages in East Java brought us to a small factory/workshop where tofu was being made. The process was likened to cheese making with much boiling of water and sieving of pulped soybeans. It’s a hot work environment, in what is already a hot climate, wearing a shirt is pointless and uncomfortable. With the steam rising and shafts of light coming in through windows and the odd hole in the roof, some atmospheric photos were possible.
