All too often we get overwhelmed by environmental gloom and doom stories. Forests are being destroyed, the oceans filled with plastics, the true impacts of climate change are still unfolding. It’s easy to become pessimistic and believe the world’s “going to hell in a handbasket” as the Americans would say. It’s good to see the occasional story about what we can do right. The message here is that the needs of the environment and the needs of humanity are inextricably linked…. ~KD
