After completing my travels through India in 2010, I was fortunate enough to get a few days in Bangkok, Thailand. It was a good chance to catch up with some friends and also to see some of the sights. I’d heard of a small restaurant by the river which looked across the water to Wat Arun. It was recommended to me as a great spot from which to watch the sunset and so I set out to do just that. As the light levels dropped, the shutter speeds slowed, some of the later shots were as long as 30 seconds allowing light trail effects from the passing boats. If you look closely at the final shot, you’ll see a line of red dots across the frame where a boat with a flashing red light passed through the scene.

Over the next few weeks I anticipate being out of town and having limited internet access, so, in order to streamline things a little, I’ve temporarily turned off comment moderation. I ask readers to bear with me if I’m a little slower than usual to respond to comments or inquiries. Thanks, ~ KD
