Shortly after the busiest days of the Kumbh Mela festival and people in their thousands were gathered at rail stations to make their way home to the various parts of India from where they had travelled. We were waiting among a throng of people on one railway platform as trains passed by the adjacent platforms. People hanging on in doorways of trains like this was a common sight.
