No visit to Bangkok would be complete without visiting Wat Pho. There are several points of interest, chief among them being the reclining Buddha. The figure is huge, stretching out in its classic reclining pose, so much so that it’s a challenge to photograph it in its entirety. In this instance, I decided not to try and get it all in one photo but to go vertical and just concentrate on the face.

Excellent shot, as usual, KD! My time in Bangkok, on USAF R&R, were devoted more towards Patpong Street because the powers that be told us it was off-limits and we just had to find out why…….and we did:-)
I also spent some time up in Chiang Mai and even got to see an elephant rodeo! I know I really saw it because, even though I was hammered on San Miguel most of the time we weren’t flying, none of the pachyderms I saw were pink and my buddies said they saw them, too.
