A trip to Jim Thompson House in Bangkok resulted in today’s image. The house, which is preserved and open to the public, was established by the American entrepreneur who was largely responsible for reviving the Thai silk industry in the 1960s. The house is set in peaceful gardens which offer a welcome respite from the chaos of modern-day Bangkok. The image shows a flowering vine growing along a solid timber upright. The timber is painted black and hence provides quite a contrast. Given that there was little colour in the scene anyway, I decided to go with a black and white processing.
