An exercise in careful composition. I liked the contrast between the umbrellas with their curved forms and the mostly grid-like pattern of the architecture with its straight vertical and horizontal lines. Having looked at the image in colour, I decided that colour didn’t really add much to the image which relies more on those geometrical elements and textures. The decision to process as a black and white was an easy one.
Processing was done with Silver Efex Pro with some localized enhancement on the poster, a light sepia toning was then applied. This image is part of my Nepal 2017 image gallery. ~KD.
